1964 Daimler 2.5 V8 Saloon

Bought from an official of the Daimler & Landcaster Club in early 2016, the 2.5 V8 saloon was the recipient of an Opalescent Silver Grey paintwork refresh in the 1990s and is now showing a few blemishes of age. There are some minor blistering and cracks evident.

Inside, our Daimler is finished in grey leather which remains in good condition, as does the extensive woodwork, while the original radio works although the clock doesn’t. There’s a complete original toolkit in the boot, which is neatly carpeted and comes with the jack. Under the shapely bonnet, the 2.5 litre V8 is a tight fit but it’s all neatly presented.

A non-original aftermarket alloy radiator is fitted, along with a manually activated thermo fan, Bosch electronic ignition, and a new battery too. Recent work has included adding a second (electric) fuel pump, new hoses in the engine bay, and a generator rebuild. This Daimler also comes with an enormous amount of supportive paperwork, much of it from its previous Club member owner.

There’s a folder containing its service history with numerous receipts, another one with original paperwork – including the Owner’s manual – showing its factory order and subsequent shipping to Australia. There’s also a Lucas parts catalogue.

Another folder contains a plethora of reference materials including relevant magazine technical articles, plus the dedicated clubman’s personal notes and tips. And finally, there’s a trio of factory Maintenance handbooks, a Daimler Service manual, a Daimler Parts catalogue, and several other official publications.

Winner of the Best Car 1960 – 1970 award at the 2014 Daimler & Lancaster Club National Rally, this ’64 2.5 V8 saloon presents possibilities for the keen enthusiast. It would be simple to run it as a daily driver or for club events.

1923 Ford T-Bucket

It was personally built by its current owner and family. This is a regretful sale as this vehicle has been part of the family for a number of years with many pleasant memories. As you can see there was no skimping on building this show winning T-Bucket. It is reluctantly being offered for sale at an affordable price which could not be built in today’s market, let alone trying to find some of the rare items used in this very special build.

It is a case of over capitalisation but it was never done with resale in mind. It was done as a work of mechanical love and appreciation. You now can reap the benefits of owning this magnificent show winning T-Bucket for less than what it would cost to build.

It has always been registered on club registration which is not transferable. It is a very simple application to put it back on regular registration or new club registration.

It is being offered today for a realistic price of $69,999. Please note that due to scammers, the vehicle can only be seen by pre-arranged appointment and conditions. The owner builder will be present to answer all of your questions. It is stored in a safe and dry environment. The vehicle has never been driven in the rain.

It has the 3.8 engine with the 4 speed synchromesh gearbox with the 5th gear overdrive. A total ground up restoration was completed in 2014. I have fully documented photographs and paperwork showing most of the work carried out. The wire wheels and hubs were put on new when the restoration was completed. It has a Moto Lita wood rim steering wheel and handmade extractors. It runs and sounds incredible. The car was recently fully serviced and tuned.

The car has been converted to 12 Volt Negative earth and the generator has been replaced with a modified alternator. 1990 Mercedes 300 CE-24 automatic

More accurately the mileage has done around 90,000Kms. The odometer broke and did not record the mileage for a while. I had it repaired under Consumer Affairs direction and it's all good now. This car has full service history with all books including Australian delivery. The W124 is often described as the best designed, most over engineered car ever built.

Now the car has a few items that come with it. I have a new set of Leather seat covers for the front seats. I have a set of new front brake pads. There is also a new internal rear view mirror.

The car was recently serviced and I had to buy a new distributor cap and rotor button which needs to be fitted.

Now the problem areas are the paint is faded on the top of most panels. The driver's seat is ripped. The windows were working but now have all stopped. I believe it to be a fuse but I am selling the car "As is" I have too many projects on the go and need to reduce my workload, hence the price.
